"Lost" On The Planet of Cubes: Return to Chaos

planet of cubes, planet of cubes multiplayer survival, games, gamers, gaming news

So there I was, back in the Planet of Cubes. First time in a long, long time that I've even logged on.

Since then, and since this blog I started some years ago, things have changed. First and foremost though, Happy New Year! I come to in a room that I don't recognize. At least the room is secure, I think to myself, knowing that sooner or later, I've got to go outside.
Heading outside, I can only assume that i'm a few clicks from the safe zone. I have an axe on me that's slightly used, and a dream to get back to safety as soon as I can, but I cannot remember how far I'm away from the zone. And to make matters worse It's almost night! Every creepy crawly comes out then!

It's here where I make my first kill. Skeleton with an bow and arrow. Not a bad pickup. I can use the bones and arrows for further resources. Below is the cool shot I got of the loser as the sun rose on the next day. His determined look was epic. The Planet of Cubes has stepped its game up literally, and everything I've written about has come to fruition and looks great. It's time to start the adventure again! See you on the board!

Monsters Ball in survival mode

Monsters Ball, Monsters Ball photo, planet of cubes game, planet of cubes

I had just entered survival mode in Planet of Cubes when I see this Party of monsters down below. It was too funny. The house on the right was the target apparently, but they gave up and started to have a fit.
I was surprised they didn't get me but I may have been too far away. A Monster's Ball? That's first thing I thought. Just a bunch of monsters having a backyard party!

Dinosaur Park at Avatar Island

Jurassic Park, dinosaur park, dinosaur museum, dinosaur bones
I had not visited Avatar Island in a few months, so I thought it would be cool to stop by (and take a break from being killed in Survival Multiplayer). Planet of Cubes users and servers never fail to surprise me. If you were wondering, yes. That's someone being attacked by dinosaurs. Not just any dinosaurs, but Velociraptors. Yes. Velociraptors.

And as you can see, they're getting it in when it comes to attacking this poor soul. This is different from the many structures I saw on Avatar Island in the past. I was shocked and yet laughing at the whole ordeal because you could tell the guy wasn't hugging the dino but getting owned by one. Now because this was somewhat outside the spawn chunk zone, I cannot tell you if this was a user creation or a server production. However, when you're cruising through Avatar Island on Planet of Cubes, this is one structure you should stop and take a look at - it really sticks out.

I know many Planet of Cubes users are all in when it comes to Survival Multiplayer, but be sure to stop back past the Creative side of the house so you can check out these structures. This creation was near a History Museum and a place with a deer head. I'll check that out more and get back to you on my findings.

Naked and Afraid: Don't enter the Survival area without gear!

planet of cubes, block games, free block games, games like minecraft

Planet of Cubes players have probably figured out that you shouldn't enter the wiles of the Survival area without arming yourself.  And then there's me - a guy that's always trying stuff out and wondering what it's not working out for me. haha.

In my defense I had a fairly decent plan. I was going to head out to the Survival area, mine a little bit, and get back into the safe zone before the sun went down. However wasn't the case because I fell into a dark hole. By time I got back up to the top, the Sun had set. It was dark.

Here come the spiders!

Before I knew it, I was racing around trying to simply hide and stay alive. I had no weapon other than a wooden ax. No armor, nothing. Just out there in the woods feeling like a helpless deer.

And that's when I saw her.  Her blonde hair from a distance made me think, "Hey, maybe she'll help me." No. That was wrong, very wrong. She watched me. Just just kept turning in my direction, observing every move. As I eluded the spider she approached me, and began to attack! I did wonder however why she was out there in the first place. It was a very creepy feeling - knowing that some Planet of Cubes players are only out there to kill ignorant "Naked and Afraid" guys like myself who know better.

I learned some things after being stabbed in the back - literally: Watch the bulky areas, GET GEAR, and don't think alliances are that simple. A hunter is a hunter.  Planet of Cubes Multiplayer Survival will be an growing and learning experience.

May the odds forever be in your favor!

Survival Multiplayer Review: All you've expected

Planet of Cubes released their Survivor Multiplayer and if you haven't checked it out, you're missing out! Now you're not going to find this version on Google Play (already looked), but no worries, you can download it from Amazon Underground. Download the app and honestly, it's very easy to do. After installation the real fun starts.

Like most apps nowadays, the Planet of Cubes Survival Multiplayer Game creators wants to make sure you know what you're doing so you'll go through a 10-step quick process of learning how to build certain things and that's ok.

Once you're inside, the party is going on - The one thing I've noticed more than any other feature in the game is that people are sticking together a wholllle lot more. I think the fact that Planet of Cubes is now Survival Multiplayer, people are beginning to form alliances and such. There's nothing wrong with that - make more friends that way!

However, life beyond the Spawn Zone is a little different than what you're used to: Very rigid when you're looking from the Spawn Zone. I haven't ventured that far out yet, but when I do I will post pictures. In addition, I haven't found a map, which leads me to wonder if the Planet of Cubes Survival Multiplayer even has a map. Otherwise, if you've been looking for a decent Minecraft alternative, you've finally got one.

Survivor Multiplayer is here!

Planet of Cubes players should have heard by now the big news - Survival Multiplayer is out on Amazon! Isn't that cool? We're very close to having one of the top requests by POC players fulfilled. This, in addition to the renting chunks feature will make the  Planet of Cubes more than just popular, but an epic game for the ages!

I know you've been wondering where I've been - well, between my job and the military, I can stay quite busy. However, I do plan to be back online very soon taking shots of the cities and meeting up with people like yourself! So keep building and I'll keep touring!

Find this Week's Travel Bug! (Week of 7.30.15)

Geocaching on The Planet of Cubes - This week's travel bug is an easy one: Here's a hint:

In the arena of great Roman matches, where gladiators were born, and where fire and TNT now reside, the bug is on fire.

Coordinates
-21: -78

And as always look for the scarab:
What is Geocaching? Geocaching, also referred to as GPS stash hunting, is a recreational activity in which someone "buries" something for others to try to find using a Global Positioning System ( GPS ) receiver. The pursuit can be thought of as a GPS-enabled treasure hunt. Usually, a geocache consists of a small, waterproof container that holds a logbook and inexpensive trinkets. Participants are called geocachers. For POC Players, I simply post the coordinates and you find the Bug! Very easy! No GPS tools needed LOL!

On an unlabeled coast just above Fuji Volcano I think I saw the Big Dipper - For you scientific types that would be Ursa Major. Enjoy!

The Ghost of Windy Bay

haunted ghosts, pictures of haunted, ghosts haunted, haunted real, haunted places, haunted houses, haunt the house, most haunted places
So there I was at the bottom of Windy Bay. It's  on area in the Planet of Cubes rarely visited, if not by accident. In this case, it was. I forgot to turn on my flight button and fell right to the bottom. And that's when I saw her. She was just standing there. No movement. No turns. Just standing there very still, as if she was waiting for something. And with the bottom of the bay being so dark and misty, it made the entire experience just...spooky. So, with that being said I began my trek towards here when she just vanished. I don't know who it was, or why she was there, but the first thing that came to mind was maybe she was a ghost... if that's possible in Planet of Cubes.

Rooftop party in Windy Bay

Hung out in Windy Bay this evening and had a few users to stop by. I asked to get a group photo and they were nice enough to take one! Big shout out to all of them for stopping by.

#ThrowbackThursday: Touring Bizarre Mountain on Planet of Cubes

In our first Throwback Thursday post in Planet of Cubes, I wanted to look back on what appears to be one of my more popular posts: Bizarre Mountain.  If you haven't been yet, you'll find some    interesting structures built along the mountains and in the valleys. And while there aren't many people who frequent Bizarre Mountain, you've got more than enough material there to create your heart away. One of the main sights I haven't seen yet are people building into the mountain, you know like in the Lord of The Rings: Planet of Cubes players - Challenge given!

Yeah, so who died?

MMORPG Deaths in Planet of Cubes
So yeah, who died? -- I ventured into the Mighty Trees area Tuesday and came across this grave. I'm not sure who this represents, but rest in peace indeed. Obviously the creator the grave had someone in mind they were reflecting on and came up with this memorial inside Planet of Cubes. What do you think? Have you ever done this? It's a different take in grieving the loss of a loved one indeed - But if gaming and real life mirror one another, what of it? Rest in peace.

It's important to find the beauty in the simple things of life. Makes you wonder if its creator was thinking the same thing: He or she just wanted to get away and stare off into the sunset.

Tree of Life area full of surprises

Tree of Life area on Planet of Cubes was a pleasant surprise. If you're looking for that city feel that has a rural setting, this is the area for you. I was surprised to find this windmill in the area, which was very cool. Walking around the area you could tell some user construction had started, but nothing really big, which means there's a great deal of land to be used!

Of course my biggest find of the day was this police helicopter that was perched on his pad. I hope one day I'll get a chance to fly one of these around, you can never tell what's next in POC. Awesome surprises around every corner!

And finally, back to my original mission of the night: A Group photo for this blog. I was surprised at how difficult that was- You'd think people would jump at the opportunity to get seen to gain more friends and be a little popular in Planet of Cubes, but that wasn't the case - However, big thanks to Mr. Awesome Guy for being a great sport. He was building a house when we talked. So if you see him anywhere on the planet, let him know that he's a celebrity now haha. Hopefully he'll be cool with that.
