For starters, there isn't the fight for servers, and the 1,000 plus rules when you get there. There is only one world to play on, and one way to get there - through the planet of cubes app, available to Google and IOS users.
I think for many people, including myself, the wait was well worth it. Even though I haven't been on there lately (I will be visiting tonight as I crank back up my blogging), going by what I've seen thus far, there's no reason not to visit the planet of cubes now. Everything has been answered, give or take a few bugs. Here are some of the reviews coming in on the Google Play Store:

Some ideas Maybe add a friend list so they wont kill youu?and tamable animals?and make your own survival server and it will cost 45 coins and you can invite your friends.its just my ideas you dont need to add them...

Wen I pres survivel mod I'm in it and then a ad shows up and wen I pres x to not see video it just puts me to main menu pleas fix this problem even wen I see the whole video it brings me to main menu pleas fix this in crietev mod dos not do that. Pleas will you do that? But I'll wish I can put 10 stars ;-)
A lot of the reviews POC has already adressed, with most of them basically not understanding how to play the game. Many in my opinion just haven't taken the time to read everything ( or goto the site). But overall, so far so good on everything!
